There are 2 unique product classes that use our
innovative Energy Recovery System:
1. Manual Survivor desalinators for emergency use
2. PowerSurvivors for daily water needs aboard
The Survivor-06 is designed for one to two person use in liferafts or a
ditch bag.
The Survivor-35 is capable of providing emergency water for up to 6
people in a multi-person liferaft.
Both Katadyn Survivor models are trusted gear used by the US Navy, US Coast
Guard, US Air Force, and many sailors around the globe. They are essential
equipment for any offshore cruising vessel.
PowerSurvivors
Fresh water is one thing that is absolutely essential on a daily basis. Being
able to produce it yourself is one step toward being truly independent. Another
is having the confidence and understanding of how to get the most out of your
equipment. We design our products to be reliable and easy to use and maintain.
What size is right for you?
The first step in choosing a watermaker is understanding your water needs.
Sounds simple, but what many forget is the change in mentality from living in a
house to spending time on a boat. Just like you take fewer clothes, fewer shoes,
and shorten your menu, water needs decrease dramatically as well. In fact, the
average daily usage on a cruising sailboat is between 1.5 and 3 gallons of water
per person per day.
Which model best fits your daily water needs?
We recommend choosing a model that can produce your calculated daily water
needs in 2 to 4 hours of operation per day (minimum).
