Indicates how much battery power your trolling motor requires. You’ll need 1 battery for every 12 volts in your trolling system. 55 lbs. of thrust or less = 12 volts, 1 battery 68-80 lbs. of thrust = 24 volts, 2 batteries 101-112 lbs. of thrust = 36 volts, 3 batteries

How do I select trolling motor shaft length?

Choosing the correct shaft length is important so that the angler's electric motor does not cavitate, creating fish-spooking noise. The rule of thumb is that the top of the motor section should be submerged 12". In general, shaft length selection is more critical with bow-mount motors versus transom-mount motors. Most boat transoms are similar in their distance to the water, and Minn Kota’s standard transom shaft lengths should be adequate. With bow-mounted motors, there is much greater variation in shaft length requirements. Measure down from the mounting surface of the transom or bow to the water level. Add 5" to waterline measurement for fishing in rough water. Add 12" to waterline measurement for steering a hand control motor while standing. Use this measurement and the tables below to find the appropriate shaft length.

MEGA IMAGING AND SONAR – DIRECTLY FROM THE MOTOR

The Built-in MEGA Imaging options provide MEGA Side Imaging+ and/or MEGA Down Imaging+ along with 2D Dual Spectrum CHIRP Sonar to select Humminbird models. For complete compatibility, see the chart below.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only view MEGA Down and Side Imaging with a MEGA DI or MEGA SI HELIX G2N or G3N Series model and a required adapter, or with any SOLIX Series model. The built-in transducer cannot supply MEGA Imaging to Humminbird models that do not already have the capability. If you have a G2/G2N or a G3/G3N HELIX that is not a MEGA SI or MEGA DI model, you will still get 2D Dual Spectrum CHIRP Sonar from the transducer. SOLIX G1 and HELIX G2 and G2N units need to be running the latest software update to view sonar from motors with Built-In MEGA Imaging. You can get the latest version of software for your fish finder here. Built-In MEGA Imaging is not supported by HELIX G1 models or other brands of fish finders.

The Built-In MEGA DI and MEGA SI transducers are only available on new models equipped from the factory and cannot be added to an existing trolling motor
